Red Door Community is featured in the October, 2021 installment of Simply Science, CUNY-TV’s monthly, general-interest magazine program.
The special episode, premiered Wednesday, October 6 at 9pm, is devoted to Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The show will be repeated at various times throughout October.
Simply Science host Barry Mitchell recently visited Red Door Community’s West Village clubhouse, where CEO Lily Safani discussed the pandemic-induced switch to all-virtual services. Safani told Mitchell that in-person meetings will resume when it’s safe, while virtual participation groups will still be part of the mix.
Mitchell also talked with Red Door Community member Katie Burns-Amrhein, who spoke frankly and movingly about Red Door’s role in helping her navigate her own personal cancer experience.
