For more than 16 years, our Red Door Runners program has been a meaningful way for individuals to turn movement into impact. Since 2009, hundreds of runners and walkers have represented Red Door Community in the TCS NYC Marathon, collectively raising more than $1 million to support our free cancer support program.
Our team includes people of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. Some train for a new personal goal, others move at a steadier pace, but each participant shows up with the same intention: to be part of something that matters.
Each mile reflects a commitment to compassion, connection, and standing alongside those impacted by cancer.
Looking Ahead in 2026
In 2026, we’re excited to expand the ways people can get involved with our Red Door Runners.
This spring, Red Door Community will launch its inaugural NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon team, taking place on Sunday, April 26. This new opportunity allows runners and walkers to represent Red Door Community in one of the country’s largest half marathons while helping raise critical funds for our program.
We’re also introducing the Red Door Runners: NYC Series, that includes both the Brooklyn Half and the TCS NYC Marathon on Sunday, November 1. Participants in the NYC Series receive priority placement on our marathon team and the chance to deepen their involvement throughout the year.
Whether you’re new to racing or returning with years of experience, our Red Door Runners team offers a meaningful way to move with purpose. We invite you to join us, support our team, and be part of a community that believes no one should face cancer alone.
