Ivan Cheung

Ivan Cheung serves as chairman and CEO of Eisai Inc., responsible for the strategic direction of the company’s Americas Region, and providing regional management oversight to all of Eisai’s operating companies in the Americas. Mr. Cheung is also president, Neurology Business Group, which covers Eisai’s global end-to-end activities from discovery research and clinical development to brand commercialization and business development in areas such as Alzheimer’s disease & dementia, epilepsy, sleep disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases. He serves as a corporate officer for Eisai Co., Ltd. in Japan, the parent company of Eisai Inc. Mr. Cheung joined Eisai Co., Ltd. in 2005 and has held positions of rising responsibility across corporate planning and strategy, corporate finance, talent management, global R&D, the U.S. commercial business, the Japan consumer healthcare business, the global oncology business, and the global neurology business. Prior to joining Eisai, Mr. Cheung was with the Global Health Practice at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he provided strategy and operations consulting to biopharmaceutical and healthcare clients across the U.S., Europe and Asia. Mr. Cheung received his MBA from Harvard Business School and he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a double-major in Economics from Duke University. Mr. Cheung is a Board Member of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).
