2023 Annual Benefit Luncheon Host

Gerri Willis

We are honored to welcome back Gerri Willis, Anchor and Correspondent, Fox Business Network as our Luncheon Host again this year. Gerri Willis is currently covering the New York Stock Exchange for Fox Business. She is the author of “Rich is Not a Four-Letter Word,” published by Crown Forum in 2016. She is recovering from a hysterectomy after a Pap smear found pre cancer cells on her cervix caused by HPV 18.  Willis was diagnosed with stage three lobular breast cancer in April 2016, and was successfully treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering. 

Prior to joining FBN, Willis served as the personal finance editor for CNN and hosted the weekly half-hour program entitled “Your Bottom Line,” which focused on Americans’ wallets in the wake of the Great Recession. Before CNN, she was senior financial correspondent at SmartMoney magazine.

Willis received the 2001 Excellence in Retirement Savings Reporting award, bestowed by the American University School of Communication and the Investment Company Institute’s Education Foundation. She is the author of two other books, “The Smart Money Guide to Real Estate Investing” and “Home Rich.”

Willis was a Columbia Business School Knight-Bagehot Fellow. She was born in Waynesville, NC, and currently resides in Westchester County, with her husband, David Evans.  They recently celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary. Willis is the host of the podcast, The Fearless and Proud, about women soldiers and spies during the Civil War. Her show, Real Tough Women, a look at groundbreaking American women from the past and present, can be seen on Fox Nation. She is currently at work on a book for Harper Collins about a female Civil War spy.
