The Scott J. Aveda Salon in SoHo generously held a wonderful evening of relaxation for a small group of Red Door Community members at their West Broadway storefront on February 26, 2018.
Mini massages and facials were offered to help relax and refresh the body, and makeup and hair services had everyone feeling glamorously renewed. With a focus on natural products and understanding the specific needs of each individual person, the staff at Aveda were nothing short of hospitable and eager to help our community enjoy a small bit of pampering.
Kenny Vargas of Aveda shared with us why he chose to partner with Red Door Community:
“I chose Red Door Community because, for me personally, I have had family members affected with cancer and seen the battle for survival.
Since Aveda is a brand of Beauty and Wellness, I figured it would be wonderful to reach out to Red Door Community and have their members be treated to our complimentary services of aromatherapy and hand and neck massages along with make-up and hair styling. It would give the members a moment of feeling comfort and integrate our wellness for a sense of balance.
Knowing what my family members endured internally and externally, I’m very proud to say I work for a brand like Aveda who has been a pioneer of environmental responsibility with a mission to care for the world we live in. What a great partnership Aveda SoHo and Red Door Community has formed.”
