Red Door Community’s free cancer support program is made possible by the continued generosity of individuals, corporations and foundations.
Our beautiful donor’s mural recognizes these generous contributions.
Virtual Donor Wall
Work on the Red Door Community donor wall began in late 2009. The pro-bono project was led by Judy Futterman, Lucy Lee Chiles and over twenty teachers and students from the Isabel O’Neil Studio Workshop. The artists demonstrated their talents by painting the objects and books seen in the mural. The objects, drawer handles and chinoiserie carvings were enhanced with 24 carat gold leaf.
Judy has been a student, teacher and Board member at the Studio for many years in addition to receiving the Studio’s highest award of Master. Lucy Lee was the Executive Director of the Studio. We will be forever grateful to Judy, Lucy Lee, and the Isabel O’Neil teachers and students for bringing their beautiful work to our clubhouse.
The donor’s wall (9’ high by 13’ wide) can be found in our clubhouse on West Houston Street on the main floor corridor leading towards our grand Dance Hall.
This year we are excited to launch our Red Door Society Virtual Donor Wall. The Red Door Society honors donors who make an investment in our mission with contributions of $2,500 or more to our annual campaign (January 1 – December 31, 2021). All gifts provide the Red Door Community with the resources to offer unwavering support throughout the year to our free cancer support program in person, virtually, and at our hospital partners. If multiple gifts are given during the calendar year, the cumulative total will be used for recognition.
