¡Te invitamos a celebrar el mes de la herencia hispana del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre! En una colaboración con Cancer Support Community North Texas, Cancer Support Community Arizona, y Red Door Community Chicago ofrecemos dos oportunidades de compartir su cultura y otros eventos para la comunidad hispana. 1. Celebracion del mes de la herencia hispana: platos latinos
Celebramos el mes de la herencia hispana con un reconocimiento de cómo la cultura hispana ha contribuido en el mundo culinario. Participantes tienen la oportunidad de compartir la comida de su cultura con las comunidades de CSC Arizona, CSC North Texas, Red Door Community Chicago, y Red Door Community. Como participar:
- ¡Muéstranos tus talentos culinarios! Envíanos una foto de un plato que has cocinado y la receta antes del 21 de septiembre.
- Puedes enviar la foto y la receta a hfeldman@gildasclubnyc.org.
- Seleccionaremos unas recetas y las compartiremos en Facebook y Instagram con nuestra comunidad
- Para ver las recetas que seleccionamos visita la página de Facebook de Red Door Community entre el 22 de septiembre y el 16 de octubre.
2. ¡Representa tu bandera y celebra el mes de la herencia hispana!
Ponte tu mejor vestimenta, camiseta, sombrero, gorra o lo que represente tu país y participa en este divertido evento. Comparte una foto y/o la de tu familia usando algo que representa tus raíces.
Compartiremos en Facebook y Instagram con nuestra comunidad y en colaboración con Red Door Community Chicago, Cancer Support Community Arizona, y Cancer Support Community North Texas. ¡Tendremos una rifa para todos los miembros que envíen una foto y sacaremos dos nombres para un premio de $40 (primer premio) o $20 (segundo premio)!

- ¡La semana del 12 de octubre anunciaremos los ganadores de los premios por la pagina web de Facebook de Gildas Club NYC!

Hispanic Heritage Month Events & Celebrations
Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 – October 15! In partnership with Cancer Support Community North Texas, Cancer Support Community Arizona, and Red Door Community Chicago, we are launching two events to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and hosting several events that are open to all! Details below for our celebrations – if you have any questions send them to hfeldman@gildasclubnyc.org.
1. Celebracion del mes de la herencia hispana: platos latinos
We are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by recognizing how Hispanic culture has contributed to the culinary world. Participants in this event have the opportunity to share the food of their culture with the communities of CSC Arizona, CSC North Texas, Red Door Community Chicago, and Red Door Community. How to participate:
- Show us your culinary talents! Send a recipe for and photo of a Latino inspired dish you’ve cooked by September 21 (Send to hfeldman@reddoorcommunity.orgor tag us on social media @GildasClubNYC)
- We will select one of the recipes and share it on Facebook, Instagram, and with our community.
- Visit our Facebook page between September 22 – October 16 to see a few highlighted recipes.
2. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by Representing your Flag!
Put on your favorite item of clothing – shirt, hat, or whatever best represents your country – and participate in this fun event. Share a photo of yourself and/or your family using something that represents your roots to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. We will share the photos on Facebook and Instagram with our community, and in collaboration with Red Door Community Chicago, CSC Arizona, CSC North Texas. We will have a raffle for all who submit a photo and will select two names for a first prize of $40 and a second prize of $20!
- To participate, send your photos via email to hfeldman@gildasclubnyc.org or post on social media and tag us @GildasClubNYC between September 21-25.
- Visit the Red Door Community Facebook page from October 5-9 to see the photos.
- We will announce the winners of the raffle the week of October 12th via the Gilda’s Club NYC Facebook page.
