At Red Door Community, our more than 300 volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization. From the very beginning, volunteers have played a vital role in helping us support our members, share their expertise, sustain our operations, and expand our fundraising efforts. They are a vital part of our community.
Recently, some of these dedicated individuals gathered in our new “Loft” space to participate in a heartfelt note writing effort as a part of our Community Connections initiative. This was an opportunity for volunteers to engage directly with our members through hand-written notes as a reminder that Red Door Community is here for them. Each postcard is more than just a message, it’s an outreached hand.
These simple yet powerful connections are a reminder that Red Door Community is not just an organization, it’s a shared mission. By writing these postcards, volunteers help reinforce a core truth: at Red Door Community, no one faces cancer alone. Each message is a thread that weaves us closer together, building a stronger, more compassionate community for the thousands of members we serve, and beyond.
