October 10 Is World Mental Health Day

2022 RDC Impact Report

In honor of World Mental Health Day yesterday, we are delighted to celebrate the expansive impact of our 100% FREE cancer support program. Our supportive and educational program is an essential complement to cancer care, offering knowledge, hope, and empowerment at every stage of the cancer experience.

Despite the devastating challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic over the recent years, our Community has not only endured but thrived. We’ve expanded our reach, touching more individuals living with cancer, in more ways, and in more places through our virtual program. We’ve achieved new heights, by extending FREE individual counseling sessions to children, teens, and adults grappling with the profound impact of cancer. This includes those who’ve lost a parent to cancer – a group that is often overlooked. The transition from Gilda’s Club NYC to Red Door Community has been a catalyst for extraordinary growth and accessibility, culminating in a remarkable 30% expansion in our program offerings!

Our 2022 Annual Impact speaks volumes:

  • Over 20,000 individuals served
  • A remarkable 960 support groups
  • 850 educational lectures & healthy lifestyle workshops
  • 300 individual counseling sessions

The past three years have unveiled the unwavering strength of our community, donors, volunteers, and staff. Your commitment to Red Door Community has not only upheld our mission but also expanded it, helping reach more individuals and families living with cancer every day. We’re forever grateful for your support and generosity. Together, we’re creating a profound impact in the realm of cancer support and mental health. Explore our full 2022 impact report here!
