Red Door Runners

Red Door Runners

For 16 years, our Red Door Runners have proudly represented Red Door Community and grown into one of the most essential parts of our organization. Since our first team in 2009, more than hundreds of participants have raised over $1 million to support our free cancer support programs.

Our Red Door Runners come from all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels. Some participants race to hit a personal best; others take their time, run‑walk the course, or walk the full distance – regardless, everyone belongs on our team. What unites us is a shared commitment to community, compassion, and ensuring that no one faces cancer alone.

2026 Race Opportunities

In 2026, Red Door Community is launching our inaugural NYCRUNS Brooklyn Experience Half Marathon team, taking part in one of the largest half marathons in the country on Sunday, April 26. Learn more and support our Brooklyn Half Team here!

We’re also introducing our Red Door Runners: NYC Series, a yearlong opportunity to complete both the Brooklyn Half in the spring and the TCS NYC Marathon on Sunday, November 1. Participants in the NYC Series receive priority placement on our marathon team. Ready to run, or walk, with purpose? Apply below to join our Red Door Runners!

Our Training Partners

Red Door Runners has partnered with Physical Equilibrium for the past 16 years. Physical Equilibrium is New York City’s premier fitness boutique and wellness concierge offering personal training, nutrition, triathlon and run coaching, post-rehabilitation and therapeutic services.

“I’ve had the opportunity to not only coach the runners but run on the team too. Knowing that you are training and running for such an amazing organization pushes you and gets you to the starting line on race day. The NYC Marathon is like no other race. Running over bridges with views of Manhattan and through the 5 boroughs is amazing! The energy of the runners and the spectators you will not find in any other race in the world”
