Red Door Community is thrilled to share a special message from Neil Patrick Harris and writer-director George Jaques in celebration of their new film, Sunny Dancer, now playing in select theaters.
The film follows Ivy, a teenager in remission from cancer whose parents insist that she attend a summer camp for young people affected by cancer. Although reluctant at first, Ivy soon discovers new friendships, unexpected feelings and the power of a community that understands what she is going through.
At Red Door Community, we know how meaningful connection can be for anyone impacted by cancer. Sunny Dancer reflects values at the heart of our mission: creating space for people to feel understood, build relationships and experience moments of joy throughout the cancer experience.
Written and directed by George Jaques, Sunny Dancer features an incredible cast, including Bella Ramsey, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Gunning, James Norton, Ruby Stokes, Earl Cave, Conrad Khan and Daniel Quinn-Toye.
