MPN Awareness Day is September 10th and in honor of this Red Door Community is excited to partner with the Cancer Support Community to offer educational programs to help bring awareness to myeloproliferative neoplasms, a.k.a. MPNs. MPN Awareness Day focuses on encouraging those living with MPNs, to use their voice to inspire others on their MPN journeys. It’s also a time for the MPN community to connect with one another by sharing personal stories and experiences, uniting people with their MPN peers, and highlighting excellence in support for MPN patients and caregivers.
In the spirit of this call for support and awareness of MPNs, we will host Shining the Light on Myeloproliferative Neoplasms on Tuesday, September 29th from 6-8pm. The event will provide an opportunity to learn more about physical activity, nutrition, treatment options and other lifestyle strategies for those living with an MPN. Maureen Thyne, RPA-C with Weill Cornell, will present the information and there will be a Q&A followed by an opportunity to network with our presenter as well as attendees. As an added treat, we will conclude the evening with a brief guided meditation and virtual reiki led by Pamela Bloom, Reiki Master and Transpersonal Coach.
Our event will take place via Zoom from 6-8pm on Tuesday, September 29th. This event is free and open to the public but reservations are required, to register please click here.
